Celebrating Female Artists ahead of International Women’s Day!

International Women's Day 2023 is being celebrated on the 8th March. So many of our jigsaw puzzles feature artwork designed by incredibly talented female artists, so we wanted to celebrate these wonderful women on this important day!

What is International Women's Day?

International Women's Day is a yearly event to continue the important effort for equal rights for women (and for all) and to celebrate the achievements of women around the world. Though we have come a long way in the last 100 years, there is still work to do. Here at All Jigsaw Puzzles, we are celebrating the strong women in our team and the incredible female artists we work with.

To celebrate International Women's Day, we are offering 10% off an incredible range of jigsaws designed by our wonderful female artists.

Plus, we are proud to introduce a stunning new Jigsaw Puzzle - ‘A Woman's Work is Never Done’, featuring an empowering piece of art that was painted by Dame Laura Knight in 1943 during World War II.

This beautiful piece of art, titled 'Ruby Loftus Screwing a Breech Ring' was painted in 1943 by Dame Laura Knight, an English artist who was one of the most successful painters in Britain. During her successful career, she paved the way for female artists in what was a male-dominated industry. In 1936, she was the second women to gain full membership for the Royal Academy of Arts.

Maliha Abidi, the artist behind the 100 Iconic Women jigsaw puzzle, is herself an iconic woman. Maliha’s family moved from Pakistan to California when she was 14, and she draws on her experiences of being an immigrant in her artwork and literature. Her works shine a light on social issues such as women’s rights, fighting racism, domestic violence, and mental health.
